When the only difference between them is that rap is the music and hiphop is the music and culture??

I see a difference in the two. I consider someone like T-Pain to be a Hip-hop artist, because he incorporates some actual harmony into his music, while someone like Tupac is rap, because he has a raw poetry flow.

well I remember a time when it was only called what it was- rap. then fools like p diddy and all them singer slash rappers came along and turned it into hip hop.
