It may be in the NBA, The World Series or the Super Bowl..or even the World Cup. And in which sport is it harder for one single player to lead his team "all the way"?

Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain in the NBA.

I'd say the hardest has got to be football. There are at least 22 players not including all the special teams. Basketball has 5 players on the floor at any one time, so it probably the easiest for one player to lead his team "all the way".

Rick Barry is a good one. Allen Iverson didn't have a whole lot of help with the 2001 Philadelphia 76ers. Somehow they got to the Finals, but lost once they got there.

Orel Hershisher was practically a one-man gang with the Dodgers in 1988. You'll never see a better postseason run that one, and while he had help he was by far the biggest factor.

James willed them in? Seems like he played a bit, too. :)

Even though he's most reminiscent of Jordan's enormous will to win, Michael had a few other strong players around him by the time they started reaching the finals. Nice work, LeBron...

I'd say boxing or wrestling are hardest for one to carry a whole team. You can knock out (or pin) every one of your opponents in nothing flat; but when your teammates are on, all you can do is cheer, advise, and encourage.

Rick Barry Golden State Warriors, 1974-75, he was the only all-star on that warriors team and they won it all.
