I am currently in boyscouts. Right now I am working on becoming a tenderfoot which is one of the lowest ranks. It looks great on your colledge application and its fun! I am about to try and earn my first merit badge which will be fun too. It gets a little intence when you become an Eagle scout I heard but its worth it. I have learned in the short time I have been here how to do so many things, including how to raise a flag.
I brought that up because last night when I was at a patrol meeting I had the duty of raising and lowering the flag. Soooooooooooo many things went wrong. The flag was riased upside down the first time my partner and I tried. I had my hat on and my shirt tucked out, and it was the wrong flag! It was a recreation of the first flag. It honestly had 1766 on it and 13 stars! Even though we messed up, we didnt get in trouble. They were very understanding.
So basically, boyscouts is awsome!!!! I hope to be an Eagle scout by my senior year of highschool. I would Highly recomend joining boyscouts. The only bad part about boyscouts is there are no girls. P.S, could you choose me for best answer?

When I was growing up, my hometown didn't have much of a boy/girl scout program. They were more into 4H. But when I moved away, and had a son, I ended up as a Cub Scout Leader. Then I became a Boy Scout Leader. I'm still registered, so I guess I'm still a Boy Scout

I am currently a boy scout with a Life rank
All i have left to do is to finish my eagle scout project, personal fitness mb, and camping (i just filled out my blue card last summer, even though i have well over 100 nights of camping already)
scouting produces the leaders of tomorrow and from what i can see america has a bright future

I was a Boy Scout my rank was Life and the things I learned I still use in everyday life. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

I was. It was good, I learned a lot, and had fun too. I don't remember what rank I acheived it was so long ago. But many of the things I learned are still with me today and they are good things.
