I'm going to replace all of my tires, and the current size I have now are 195/55R16. To my understanding, R16 represents rim size. So if I get R15 tires, will they fit on my current rims?

15 inch tires will not fit 16 inch rims.

I find these two sites very helpful in determining rim and tire size compatibility for my cars.
