Not much to go on with this question. But scrying has to do with "seeing". Charmed got it wrong with the pendulum dowsing method over a map. Most commonly it involves using a crystal ball or a magic mirror. You will sit in a dim light and stare into this surface. But blinking naturally and everything. Just a gaze into the depths. At first you may not see anything but with steady practice you may notice some of the following: clouding of the mirror surface (I use a magic mirror) looking like this misty greyness. I sometimes see it swirl and move. Then sparks of light may form, the first time I saw this it startled me. It was indistinguishable from my normal vision and looked very solid. It seemed like it solidified out of the depths. I have also noticed colored mists or clouds and these usually have some meaning. The sparks of light sometimes form into more complete images and I see symbols and things as well, which can then be interpreted. I have worked at scrying for a year now and I am still learning and developing it takes time and patience.

Predicting the future with water is perhaps the oldest form of divination that exists. Place a large, deep glass bowl on the table, which should be covered with a black or dark blue cloth to eliminate reflections in the room. If you have only a small glass bowl, that's fine too. Pour cold tap or bottled water into the bowl until it reaches the brim. Place a candle behind your right shoulder and turn off the electric lights, making sure your still have enough light to see. The bowl should be book reading distance from you. Be calm, and concentrate for a few minutes while you look into the center of the water. In exactly the same way as when using a crystal ball, misty visions will float in. A Variation If you are using ice instead of a bowl of water, freeze water in a rounded bowl, the larger the better. Turn the ice onto a plate, so the dome shape is facing upward. You will not only see visions in the ice, but you may see images in the water surrounding the ice as it melts. Another Variation You can also scry with a far more modern vessel - an empty round shoe polish tin. Paint the base and the lid inside and out, with black paint. When it is dry, fill the base of the tin with cold water and use it in the same way you would a crystal ball. Replace the lid when not in use and keep it for your magical purpose. Divination by Water Write your questions on small pieces of paper that are equal in size. Roll the paper into tiny balls. Drop all of them at the same time into an empty bowl. Pour water into the bowl and look quickly. "Yes" is the answer to the question on the first piece of paper that rises to the surface. Using Water To Forecast Love Cut a piece of cardboard into 26 tiny squares and write one of the 26 individual letters of the alphabet on each. Place the squares facedown in a bowl and fill the bowl with water before going to bed. In the morning the letters that have turned themselves face up indicate initials or letters, which partly or completely spell your next lover's name. Place a saucer on a table and drop 21 dressmaking needles onto it. Very slowly, pour water from a jug into the saucer. The water will cause the needles to move. Two needles that cross indicate that you have an admirer. You have as many potential lovers as you have crossed needles. i dont no how to scry but i found this i hope it helps

I have a 4 inch Crystal and I use it on occaison for scrying. Within it there forms a picture I try to understand. I have no idea whether it comes from me or forms on its on within the crystal.

I once had an ebony water bowl that in its darkness would form pictures of light. Its end is a mixture of its darkness and some Christians, that causes some of the enmity I have for Protestant Christians. I was helping out at a Pagan shop at the time and I kept the bowl on the counter for those that would ask.

Scrying (also called crystal gazing, crystal seeing, seeing, or peeping) is a magic practice that involves seeing things supernaturally in a medium, usually for purposes of divination or fortune-telling.

i dont think scrying has anything to do with a crystal or map.....it's more of seeing things in a more physical way, i think.

it falls under witchcraft.

u use a crystal with a chain attached to it and wrap an object of the person u are looking for around the chain and u swing it around a map.
if u know the area of where the person might be u can put it over a map of a certain place, if not u can put it over a map of the city, state, country, or even the globe.
when it stops swinging by itself suddenly, look at where it is pointing and thats where the person is

Depends on what you are scrying for.

I wouldn't do it but if you want to know. You use a crystal on a chain and move it over a map. If you want to find someone you need something of thier to wrap around the chain. Oh and it falls under the line of witchcraft.
