Hey! I'm in 7th grade too! I love reading, and have read all of the books on this list here! Plus, I think they're all GrEaT!!!!
I suggest these series (some are way more advanced than others, though):
*All Harry Potters!- J.K. Rowling
*The Clique series - Lisi Harrison
*A series of unfortunate events - Lemony Snicket
*Uglies (and the other books in the trilogy) - Scott Westerfield
*Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis
*The "Inkheart" trilogy - Cornelia Funke
*The "Eragon" series - Christopher Paolini
*The Artemis Fowl series - Eoin Colfer (in fact, almost anything by this author is good!)
*Anne of Green Gables - L.M. Montgomery
*The People of Sparks - Jeanne DuPrau
... hope this helps!

I noticed some of the books weren't that good. To Kill A Mockingbird isn't a book I'd choose to normally read by myself. I'm currently reading it in school and am in 9th grade. It deals with a trial in the mid 1900's about a colored man. You might want to try The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series or The Daughters of the Moon if you're into like sci-fi. Another good book is Gingerbread by Rachel Cohn. She also has two other books that are after that. Stephanie Mayer also has some good books too.

If you love action packed excitment with a hint of romance, then you'll love James Patterson's Maximum Ride series. So far theres three books but make sure you start with the first. It's a super fun book with monsters and flying kids who are always getting into trouble. It's not so kiddy, but not super mature. Its right near the middle where both adults and older kids can read it and not get bored. I can't put the books down when ever I pick them up and I'm sure you wont be able to either.
But don't take my word for it!
