If you have a camera take pictures of the bruises you have. If you don't have a regular camera and you have a web cam take pictures with that okay.
Keep in mind though, if you call the police they have the right to remove you from your home you share with your Mother. You might want to call a relative to come get you then call the law. If you do this then the law may allow you to remain with the other family member instead of going else where like CPS (Child Protective Service).
Call a relative now okay.... don't wait because if you wait then you may not be able to keep your Mother from doing this to you again.
You have to report things like this right after they happen!

It's child abuse, tell someone you trust about what is going on, a counselor at school or a family member who can help you take the next step towards reporting this to social services or the police, after you file the claim they will send someone out to your home to investigation the situation and if they find that the claim is true then they will send you to live with the closest relative, you will be doing a good thing to tell because you shouldn't be going through this abuse and if calling the someone in authority is the only way to make it stop then do it for your own safety...

It is difficult being 13 and difficult being the parent of a 13 yr. old. If the parent has anger issues, substance abuse, alcohol or mental health problems, the very best thing for the 13 year old is to find a trusted family member to tell and try to move in with. I'm not saying the 13 yr. old did anything but, at this age, nobody can tell us anything, we know it all and you know our mouth gets a little outa control, maybe there are no house rules and there's partying and staying out late, just because a parent does it. Whatever the reason for the anger though, it is not acceptable. If this behavior keeps up, you will end up dead, in the slammer for violence yourself, or doing awful things to yourself. She needs help that you cannot give her. This is how someone else treated her and that is all she knows. If you cannot find a trusted family member like a Grandma or Aunt, then find someone you trust and tell them.

YES that is child abuse.... How long ago did this happen? No child should ever go through that. If you told someone from the state would come and talk to her and you seperately, check you for bruises things like that. If they think you are in danger of being hurt again you most likely would be put into a foster home... don't mean to scare you but its the honest to God truth. Your mom would have to get help before you could return home to her. Besides foster care if there was a family member willing to take you and the state approved it you could probably go stay with them. Please don't let her get away with it anymore.

The choking part was way out of line, slapping you and throwing you against the wall is a bit much . However;a good old fashioned belt whipping never killed me.Just out of curiosity though, besides standing around being a perfect little angel, what did you do if ANYTHING to provoke her to be this angry?

Yes! That is child abuse! Please don't let this happened again, call the police. Don't be scared, they will help you. Explain them everything. If you don't want to call the Police, then ask to somebody that you really trust (like a family member, friend, School Principal, teacher, etc) for help. Good Luck. Take Care.

Yes it would be child abuse at any age. Tell someone at the school where you go a teacher or counsler. They will investigate it and take you into protective custody so it doesnt happen again. How long has this been going on? Please seek help and get out of there before its too late. You"ve been hurt enough at your mothers hands. It does happen and Im glad you are telling about it. HER BEHAVIOUR IS NNNOOOTTT YOUR FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. No one has a right to treat anyone like that. There is no excuse for it.
If you tell... Family Services will step in. I doubt she'd go to jail. But,they may seperate you and your mother for awhile. It's likely that they will try to rehabilitate her with parenting classes and anger management. Then they will reunite you and her.
However, you are of age and can speak for yourself. If you don't want to be reunited with your mother, let them know. Would another relative take you in? Where is your father?
Best of luck. I am sorry for what has happened to you.

yes. sounds like your mom has anger issues, which is not your fault. talk to her about how she made you feel because it hurt you a lot. but remember, that sometimes our parents teach us what love is and what love isnt. its okay to feel that way but you will find other people who will love you and not hurt you. if this continues, i would suggest you ask for help because it may affect you later on if it has not already done so. just make sure that the experience does not leave you bitter and angry. take care
