OK, so I was on BCP for 3 months - no period the whole time (but neg preg tests). I'm now off my pills (my husband and I are going to try for another baby), and today I had, well, what I thought was going to be a period, but it has turned out to be nothing more than spotting (old blood). Could this be a period? Since it's been so long since I'v had one, will it start off so light?

Oh, and also I should add that I had a hormonal IUD for 2 1/2 years prior to the BC pills, and this gave me no real periods, just light spotting like I had today about once every 1-2 months.

I had been on the pill 7 years, and 14 days after my period I was pregnant. Test.

If neg, your system is starting to regulate and will get more normal over time.

It will take your body awhile to get back into its normal cycle. Sometimes women have no normal cycle.

If it hasn't changed in a few months, see an MD. It could be something else.

Sounds like your body is just trying to find its rhythm again. Give it a few months.
