sure, but probably not for very long...I lived in the same home with my ex for almost a year while we not only sorted things out for the "end of our relationship" but also to save up some extra cash to go back on my own...It only became really tough when one of us had finally said, I'm ready to move on to a new person in my life...then what do you do? you move out and on....but until then, if htey get along? why not?

Keep in mind, however (if you are the new person being moved on to...) that if things don't move on a rapid time table for your needs or comfort zone, the guy (or gal) isn't ready...

good luck.

I think alot depends on the reason you are exes now. Some people can. Some people realize they are better off as friends.

Me and my ex are currently roommates, but that won't last through this month I don't think. We are exes because he is buying pain pills with my bill money and bills are not getting paid. He expects me to cook him all three meals a day and wait on him hand and foot. He expects me to clean the house, do laundry and look after his 5 year old son while he lays on the couch and watches TV. I have taken care of all but one part of the bad...he is still in my house. The disconnect notice for my power is dated tomorrow and if it is cut off tomorrow, it better be back on tomorrow. If he pays it in the morning, he might be lucky enough to finish out the month. If not, he will be out by the end of the week.

If it is an amicable breakup then yes they can.

If the other was hurt it might be fine for a bit until the unhurt one is in a relationship.
