A big you know what....This was as we were leaving and all exchanging hugs and thank you's for the dinner/party...She was right there and my husband another friend was as well...My husband didn't hear it..{he would have laughed it off I'm sure....What are your thoughts on this?
I laughed it off and she kinda eyerolled...no idea if she was mad...Only he will know that!

well, I have heard that most men love the smell of vanilla on a woman.. and you probably just had the right smell for him... You are also probably very attractive and of course that would help... I hope that she is not mad at you since you have no fault, but maybe you should show her what perfume or oil you used so she and her husband can have a fun time...

Typical dude, probably forgot all about it unless his wife is making him eat turds. You probably don't notice it but your husband flirts too unless he's already been busted with his hand in the cookie jar, in which case he does it behind your back. We guys are all opportunistic perverts and you would stir up a twister's worth of damage if you made this an issue. No big deal; however if it keeps you up at night then you should develop an exit strategy because it will be the beginning of the end for your relationship if you can't trust him.

If he was comfortable enough to say it in front of his wife then it's probably nothing. She should be the one who knows her husband the best and if she heard it and just rolled her eyes then it means it was a stupid annoying joke. Don't worry about it too much. We only dare to joke around publicly like that with people are really JUST our friends.

If he wasn't drunk or at least a little "happy" I would stay far from this guy.
Also, I would tell my husband. (Why didn't you?) Guys have a certain language and understanding of this stuff and I'm sure your husband can help you interpret this particular situation since he was there.
Best case: go with your gut. Was it harmless flirting or not? You really do know.

Theres a scientific reason for that. Vanilla and other 'edible' smells get a guys blood flowing right in that area. That seems kinda gross tho....

O h my gosh what was that man thinking saying that in front of his wife? or saying at alll of course she is mad but most likly won't say anythimg to anybody about it i would just leave it alone and keep distant from him for awhile so she doesn't begin to think you have something for him

Well, being a guy I can say that vanilla never caused that reaction to me. Very strange behavior, and I'm sure his wife wasn't too happy either.

guys like the way vanilla smells its an aphrodisiac.but he musta been drunk or too blunt to blurt that out in front of everyone...dont take it personal...im sure it was JUST the vanilla...lol
