Actually, you don't need a finance degree... many in the business have college degrees in various fields, but some are not college graduates. Nearly all firms are hiring now, so if you are interested I suggest interviewing with the top firms since they have the best name recognition for potential clients. You'll be sponsored by your firm... and you'll be spending some time studying to pass the Series 7 Exam. You MUST pass it to be a stockbroker... you will also probably be expected to pass some other exams depending upon what state you live in and the type of financial services your firm offers. I suggest visiting AG Edwards website... go to careers and read about what they offer. Then check out Merrill Lynch and some others. By visiting their websites you will gain insight into their cultures. Don't forget to checkout Edward Jones... it's not for everyone, but the brokers who work there give it high marks.

If you have a degree in finance you need to raise your goals. It doesnt take a degree to become a stock broker. Look for an analyst position.
