O goodness...I have a mid-wife and she changed her mind. WE are supposedly having 3. I mean I am HUGE! I feel like I have 3 kids in me...so now my and my husbands favorites are:
Ashleigh Payge
Porter Marie
Preston James!!

so keep suggesting...and now I feel like a BALLOON! I'm a triplet so I'm not surprised I'm having 3!! so if you think we should replace a name please say so...and I like the spellings so don't try to convince me other wise!

Very cute. I'm glad to see you're not going with rhyming names like Kae and Ray or something...I think that's lind of silly.

I really like Ashleigh and Carter - those are awesome names and they flow very nicely together (I like the middle names, too).

You may want to go with one of your husband's suggestions, though. So often, pregnancy is made to be so much about the mom and the baby (in your case, babies), so I think nit would be very nice to give your husband such a huge honor.

I don't much care for his girl name, only because I don't like the CCC. Preston James is a very distinguished name. I think it will carry well when your son grows older.

Also, I like your girl name, it's very unique, but not in a way that screams "I want to be different". My first vote would go towards Ashleigh Payge and Carter Mathew and my second vote would go towards Preston James and Porter Marie.

Good luck!

I think Ashleigh Payge is adorable, Preston James is digified, but I'm not so sure about Porter Marie. Ashleigh is definately a girls name and Preston is definately a boys name. Porter is a unisex name and I think you and/or your child may run into some problems. If your having triplets, someone may assume that you had twin boys (the two "P" names) and a girl. I think that instead of Porter Marie, you should go with Camille Cherie. It's more of a distinctly female name. Or, even if you don't go with Camille, go with something that's a socially excepted female name, because yes, Ashley is a unisex name, it's socially excepted as a girls name. Congrats on having triplets and I wish you the best of luck.

I like the first one Ashleigh Payge Carlyle and Carter Matthew Carlyle. I like the way Ashleigh is spelled. It's different.

Hi,

We're two experienced reading teachers who believe that part of the problems kids have learning to read today is that their names are hard to spell and/or aren't phonetically regular in English. With that in mind, Ashleigh and Payge have to go. Yes, they look cute and nobody else would have her name, but, unless you and your husband were both National Merit Finalists, we are advising against taking that risk. We've both spent all our lives explaining how to spell our names, which is kind of a pain, but we love our names and wouldn't use that as a reason to choose something else.

The trends of giving kids last names (Carter and Preston) and girls what were boys' names (Preston) are getting stale. Think really hard before giving your kids double initial names because no one but you and the diploma-caller will use the middle name.

What about Anna Camille and James Mathew? (They'd have to spell Ana and Matthew so that excitement would still be present.) Samuel Preston and Marie Carter would work, too, especially if Preston and Carter are back in your family tree somewhere.

This combo is my #1 Choice:
Camille Paige Carlyle & Carter Mathew Carlyle

#2 Choice: Camille Paige Carlyle & Preston James Carlyle
#3 Choice: Camille Paige Carlyle & Samuel Preston Carlyle

Ashleigh is overdone and overused.
Porter - the first thing that came to mind is porters at hotels or beer
Chet - sorry kind of cheesy

Camille Cherie Carlyle/Preston James Carlyle is my favorite pair. Please don't name your girl Ashleigh. As an Ashlee, I can tell you that having this name as an identifier is about as useful as being named "hey you." From preschool through college, I've had to learn to ignore hearing my name called in public because 99% of the time the person yelling is trying to get the attention of one of the million other Ashleys, Ashlees, Ashleighs, Ashlis, Asheleys, Ashellys, etc. Ashley (spelled with the -ey) was the third most common name of the 80s and the most common name of the 90s. When you factor in all of the millions of girls named a variation of Ashley, everybody and her sister really is named Ashley!! It's useless as a name, and it's time to retire it. Please.
