I've taken orthotricyclin, ortho evera, tricylin-lo, but they all made feel totally sick and the -lo made me feel anxious. I've only been on it for a little while, but even from the first day of taking Yaz I noticed that I was really not feeling like myself. I feel anxious, paranoid, exhausted, and everything seems so SURREAL to me. I feel like a schizohphrenic! I know logically that this is not me and I'm just having these panic attack/freak outs, but last night I was getting the weirdest thoughts about how isolated I am and that I don't have any friends (which again I know logically doesn't make sense as I look at all the mementos and pictures I have of my friends and me). I feel so out of it and like i'm existing in another world. I feel seriously nuts, like I should be in the loony bin. I've also been so dizzy and my eyes can't focus on things, I feel like a staggering drunk.
I've already decided to go off Yaz. Just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience?

Even though doctors may say that to give it a couple of weeks to a month for your body to adjust but if it is affecting your mind in such a way that you know something is wrong then yes, it is a good idea to stop taking them. Just remember that when getting of the pills there may be a change in your periods just until your body adjust to the change of not taking them anymore.Take care.

I think Yasmin might help you out here, but for me I have been taking Yasmin for 6 months and every single thing you explained happened to me as well except it took me like 3 months to figure it out! I had not a clue as to what was causing all these problems till i checked out the side effects on yasmin.. Like you i thought it was great, at first... then it all went down hill... I stopped taking it 2 weeks ago and like 2 days afterwards i started to notice a huge difference! Now i feel like my self again, and i will never take that stuff ever again. Also to my knowledge Birth Control effects Everyone completely different somehow. But if your feeling like 'crazy" like how i was also, i recommend getting off your birth control and mentioning this to your doctor right away, dont put yourself through unnecessary pain and stress when there is a way out. Good Luck!!
