Winning is the most important thing. Doesn't matter if the score is 100-0 or 1-0 at the end of the day three points matters.

Both are important, although winning is more important than scoring. No matter how many goals you score, you cannot beat your opponents if they score more. But scoring and winning are related . In order to win, you must score.
Today, some people lament that football has become more defensive. They prefer attacking teams. Some coaches apply ultra-offensive tactics, some apply ultra-defensive ones. There is nothing wrong and nothing right. The most important thing is whether you can deliver result or not. History remembers winners, not scorers.
If I were a coach, I would put teamwork and team balance at the first place. Depends on my players' capabilities and opponents' tactics, I would command them to try to score at least two goals. After then, opponents would likely attack more. It would mean greater danger for my goal, but more space for my forwards. I would command my players to retreat a bit, to fight for the ball in the midfield, and then to launch devastating effective counter-attacks. If my team could score 2 or 3 more goals, then we could do anything we want to do: possession football, beautiful football, etc.
The most important things are EFFECTIVENESS and BALANCE. You cannot be too defensive or too offensive, since you can't give your opponents chance. Just like what Gullit said, it's not possible to play beautiful football all the time and yet still win matches.

Scoring cuz if you don't score, you don't win and lose or remain in a tie. It's more important to score in order to win. Like yesterday, Italy wouldn't have been able to win if Inzaghi wouldn't have SCORED. Germany wouldn't have been able to WIN if them Germans wouldn't have scored. Therefore, scoring is most important.
Edit: Yes, in the end it's most important who wins. But who would be the winner in a scoreless match? It's most important to score in order to decide the winner, meaning which team wins. The winner turns into most important after doing the most important thing-scoring!

Winning is what really matters , but scoring with nice goals make you feel soo happy for your team.
In some situations when I watch my team El Ahly plays against any team and the players play very bad and they scored even 2 goals , I was soo sad , because my favorite club or team didn't play well, i always want to see them in a good way.
So for me the most important is not winning or scoring , its playing well.

What really matters is a beautiful match unlike the CL finals. But they give the title to the team that wins.
