What did "Sweet Lou" Whitaker do after the last out of the 1987 regular season?

Does anyone know? I've looked online and can't find it anywhere.

I think they are looking for something more specific. I'd look it up in the book they suggest (Tales from the Detroit Tigers Dugout by Jack Ebling.) , but they've all been checked out.

It's to win tickets to a Tigers game, My brother would LOVE them.

You will see him at the Tigers spring training games every year as a coach helping younger players. I used to love watching Whitaker and Trammell play together. I read , not to long ago, that Whittaker is big into religion now and I believe spends a lot of time working with Jehovah's Witnesses.

he celebrated. they had to play a 1-game playoff against toronto, in which the tigers won 1-0 on a dave herndon solo HR.

that year, he also lost his jersey at the all-star game, and had to go to a sports shop to find a tigers jersey right before the game.
