Elton struggled many years with his homosexuality, and during those struggles through the 70's & 80's drug and alchohol abuse, along with bulemia, were some of the things he went through. Good for him he recovered, and was able to lead himself into a successful career.

Yes, and also an alcoholic and drug addict. What I admire about him, other than his amazing talent, is that he overcame all these to become a wonderful humanitarian.
