Treatment of Native Americans by breaking the treaties. even now the greed of the white man is showing itself by wanting to commercialize Bear Butte a Sacred Place for many Native American Indigenous Peoples. When Sacred Sites are destroyed for commercial profit there is something drastically wrong. this is sacrilege against a Religious Edifice.
Government breaking their promises to the people as an example the State government promising to remove property tax if the voters allowed a sales tax. now there is both.
Government allowing price gouging by various monopolies who control certain necessary needs of the US citizens such as gasoline and heating oil.
Government taking the freedom and free will of the people away from them little by little. B. Franklin said, " those who are willing to give up a little freedom for safety deserve neither freedom nor safety. " example might be the seat belt laws which force a passenger or driver to have seat belts on even in the back seat. this should be a choice left up to an individual. there are many other examples.
Government stepping in and allowing private citizens to be forced to give up their freedoms for supposedly increased safety when in airplanes and airports homeland security is a step for " Big Brother " to step in and dictate policy when none is needed.
Federal Government needs to be made weaker and State and local Governments made stronger. The closer to the people the Government is the better the Government can serve the people.
Government politicians and employees drain off thousands of dollars each year for salaries and benefits. there needs to be term limits set for all politicians and when their term is over they need to live like the rest of the citizens. also the politicians need to ask the voters if they want a raise instead of giving themselves a raise automatically. this situations hurts the US economy tremendously.

Too many to count. Basically, those moments were either caused by war or disease.
