A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

I DRINK A LOT from the well that teaches me about how the body works, what foods to eat, what exercises to do, what works to make you healthy and happy, and especialy what does NOT work at all! I do exercises and watch my eating daily. So all this information is help to me, and then I tell others what I have learned, so I can help them, too...
I GET A FEW SIPS from the "everything else" well. I just like to read about all the different and unusual things in the world, like the Yahoo article on freshwater crabs in the ruins or Rome. Interesting, I may be able to use that someday. Who knows...
Hope this helps.

i find myself clamouring for mystery
(there is just to much of it to go ignored)
life is a well, yes
yet, i think we all have yet to find what the well is filled with and what the "static level" of that stuff is
more like the famed alice in wonderland "rabbit hole" than a well i guess.......

I clamor for knowledge.
As a result I am a 'jack of all trades master of none'. Its a trade off. I am however pretty good at most of my trades.

The desire for knowledge is like any desire that soon becomes an addiction.
The desire is just a more socially acceptable addiction.
