Repeated playing will only make you remember the tunes and music rather than the message (unless you are all the time hearing to the actual msg.)

Various songs types have various effects on the mind waves. Your question is some thing related to music therapy.
Rapid speed, pop etc. musics have some harmful effects on mind development whereas classical, soft tunes can help in smooth functioning of the brain

Yes, it has been proven that listening to say Billy Idols "Mony, Mony," cause people to drive more "aggressively." Advertisers relied on jingles, little tunes to prompt you to buy their product. The old saying, "music soothes the savage beast," is true. You are what you eat, as they say, then you are what you listen to. Don't get me wrong, it is not to demonize rap, or hip hop, or any other music. Music does affect people, makes them cry, happy, energized, mellow, etc. Yes, eventually your sub conscious will get lazy, and you will except the message of the music without questioning it. Enjoy the music. Chow

It may affect you in some areas like the mood of you & your household. Yea, and in some cases it really depends but it can affect your actions and how you socialize with other people. For example, say you listen to a love song, your mood for the whole day will most likley be mellow &settled. but if you listen to some hard core rap or whatever, then your mood will be grumpy and irritable the whole day. So yea the song may stick to your sub- concious mind to some level! :)

music is a reflection of the sub-conscious... we have a lot of feelings we try to get out, try to express... I would say someone playing angry music is stuck with an angry sub conscious... I know I am sensitive and can't be around angry music so It does have an affect.. like a contagious illness... we have to heal illnesses... productive ways in burning out negative energies is more productive and expressing the anger without resolution... dealing with anger, our societies and sciences have yet to understand the solution.... what goes in must come out not be told to be held in more and more... I wrote about it on my blog.. if you are interested enough check it out for yourself.. How to deal and heal with it

If your family ask for the aspirin then you know they have had it.

As far as it goes by playing rap all day to the Iraqi's prisoners in Iraq by the US soldiers it had no effect on them. But when they played country the Iraqi's went mad.

So I will leave it with you and if you are stone deaf it wont hurt you at all.

i thinl people use music and movies as a crutch , you make choices....if u choose to make a bad one how is a song responsible? are you capable of making a choice not to rape, kill, beat your wife, or starve a child? then how will music affect you? all im saying is if you know right from wrong a song cant sway you to do bad things or make bad choices

I don't think so, because you actually have to listen and analyze the lyrics to understand the meaning.
