I know for a fact that my ex-boyfriend loves me, he just has no self-control and is easily distracted. He's also self-centered and the type of person who moves fast and likes to try different things. He's not the type of person that belongs in a committed relationship, but that doesn't mean that he can't love someone. What do you think?

Men or women who cheat do not love their spouse. You can make all the excuses you want, if he loved you he wouldn't have cheated.
Cheaters only care about themselves, they have no regard for how their actions will affect anyone else. They are self centred and have no idea what love really is.

I think you're absolutely right. I think he does love you and probably very much and is sad that he lost you. Sometimes some people need more than just one lover. The ultimate is to have a lover that allows you to fool around. If you could handle it he would probably want to be with you. Women do this too a lot and some guys let them do it. It's just the way it is. Not all guys are like that. I'm not like that but I also have dated a woman like that and she loved me very much but needed to get it elsewhere as well.

Okay, so you are making excuses for why he cheated on you. This is bad, bad, bad. If you are doing this, then you can't go whining to your friends about him doing it. You made excuses for it, so deal with it.
There is no excuse for cheating. To make excuses is pathetic. Men don't think with their brains, we all know that. But that still does NOT make it right for them to cheat.
Nor does it make it right for you to make excuses for his behavior.
Ask yourself this...would he be okay if YOU cheated? I seriously doubt it.
He sounds like he has a lot growing up to do.

I don't think that it means that he doesn't love you, just that he loves himself more. He is putting himself first with no regard to anyone else's feelings.

Take off the rose colored glasses.
