I just purchased my first boat. It is a 17ft Sea Nymph fishing boat. The boat and motor weight about 1200 to 1300 lbs. With trailer, fuel, and accessories, I should be sitting at around 1800 lbs. I'm looking for a reliable towing vehicle that would be able to handle 2 + hour camping trip drives. Any suggestions?

This boat would not require a large towing vehicle. Probably a small pickup like the Chevy Colorado would do the trick. Similar trucks are av available from Ford, Nissan, Toyota, etc. You could also sue something like a Toyota Pathfinder, Chevy Blazer, etc. Stay away from front wheel drive cars, though. You want a vehicle with a frame. No "unibody" vehicles. Four wheel drive is nice, especially on steep ramps or ramps with slippery seaweed on them.

You couldn't have picked a better time to buy a preowned SUV !
The market is saturated with them. Which is good for you. A 2 year old Ford Explorer with low mileage & still under manufacturer warranty, will save you about $12-15,000 (vs a new one) And it will tow your boat & trailer with ease!

Why do you think that we are on different boats. No, we all are sailing on the same ocean in the same boat but unfortunately our thoughts, actions, desires, acts, needs feelings, and deeds are different. You know why?coz we are selfish and live for self only, we won't care of others, we love ourselves only and not all. Its why the boat is the same but we are different. Thank you.

I suggest getting a Nissan Titan/Nissan Armada. It is powerful and has 5.6 liter engine in it. The good thing on this truck/suv it has a towing mode.
