Gerrard or Lampard?

Do you think gerrard and lampard should play together in the middle for England games?
Who do you think is better?as in individually.

Lampard should have been dropped a long time ago. He's never done it at international level and he cramps Gerrard's style. Gerrard/Hargreaves is the way to go.

Gerrard is the better of the two anyway, and Lampard has really messed up Ballack at Chelsea this season; maybe he just doesn't play well with ANY attack-minded midfielder?

Gerrard is by far a much better all round player. Lampard should only be used as back up for him because they dont work well together, they are just a bit too similar for comfort.

to Irish-Bear: Liverpool doesnt play what one would call good football domestically, but they are totally different in europe. Blame that on the coach, not a player, because no one can say Frank is the main reason chelsea won 2 cups so why jump on Gerrard for the way Liverpool play. Also why has mourinho failed to bring his domestic success to europe?

Gerrard is a better player. I am sure they can play together in England's matches, those two are one of the best mid-fielders in the world, they can do better. I have always admiered the way Frank plays, those two have alot in common, but Gerrard, is a better player, I hope every summer that Frank would join Liverpool, so I can see Gerrard and Lampard play together.

Gerrard is far far far far far... much better than Lampard.
And actually, he's far better than everyone else (HE'S THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD)... He makes outstanding performances, gives long passings, shoots in long ranges, he's powerful, accurate, determined and has great abilities! He's a phenomenon, undoubtly the most brilliant star of LIVERPOOL and the heartbeat of England! He's prodigious, a real phenomenon!!!

About Lampard-we can't deny his abilities as a very good footballer, and, talking about I'd really like to see them both playing, they'd make a powerful English midfield.

Gerrard by a distance. He's got to be one of the top central midfielders England have ever produced, he's phenomenal. Lampard should drop out.

At club level not alot,at international level Gerrard by a mile.I think its unfair to get on Lampards back,im Liverpool thru and thru and i remember John Barnes,he was constantly picked for England and played no better than Lampard yet he was one of our finest ever players,some players no matter how good just cant adapt to annother style of play.If Mclaren picked me i would play so you cant blame Lampard,Mclaren as to have some balls and tell him he's droped.

It has already been proven again and again, they can't play together (at least not under the present manager and tatics)

Hands down, Gerrad's better. Lampard shines because of the good players around him in Chelsea. See the real Lampard should he really leave Chelsea after refusing to sign the extention of new contract.

I don't know why every one has a problem with Frank? Why do you think that Gerrard is so special? This is beyond my rational thinking. Both players are good at what they do, if Gerrard is the better player why is it that Liverpool FC has not won a Premiership for years? Frank has scored far more goals this season than many other players in other teams and this includes Steven Gerrard, plus he has been voted player of the year 2 years on the trot, this in it self must say something for the footballer ;O)
