I think he is feared, because we fear what we do not understand. I'm going to take the unpopular road here. I don't think that Dr. Kevorkian is an evil man. I think he, as a physician, has the balls to be honest with his patients. He realized his limitations, and let people know that there was nothing else that could be done for them. Their diseases were terminal, period. No smoke and mirrors, no magical last minute experimental drugs...nothing. I believe that after being so ill and in so much pain for so long, people tire of life and are ready to be done with the whole thing. I don't agree with people playing God. I KNOW that life is a gift, and that we do NOT have the right to take it away. But, just like abortion, which I don't agree with, is a matter of CHOICE.

He is feared because people are afraid of allowing individuals control and choice in thier own lives. He helped people in pain, who were terminally ill. THEY, not he choose to end their lives. Our society and culture does not support personal responsibility or personal choice.
Abortion is an issue because again, our culture does not support personal choice or responsibility. This would be a none issue were it not for the Christian Right making it an issue. Multiple surveys and studies confirmed that most Americans prefer this issue to be one of personal choice and responsibility.

people who look at the world differently scare the world... Human rights,,, what they ask for,, what they need, You see saving the world comes in all forms... I believe he's doing the world a service... when medications fail us and humans think we should go on suffering for the sake of their warped sense of right and wrong.. Someone has to take action and free us to live by our moral and conscious decisions.. as far as abortion goes it's the same issue isn't it...
I Notice that those fighting against us are usually christian... they fight the right to die with dignity, and they fight pro choice... Yet they condemn the sh*t out of us for not being christian... it makes me wonder why they bother... It's like an oxymoron, given the opportunity they don't want us having an effect on the planet yet we are not allowed to die.. anyway I'm not going to drive myself nuts trying to think like one of them, its just to insane.
Anyway these issues have to deal with sensitive topics... but it's the same for when we talk about peace.... John Lennon was called a threat, he was feared by the American government.. for uttering the words peace...
Human rights... these people used their voice to promote human rights and freedoms... We really have to learn why we fear positive changes so much... why so many are intent on vilifying people who fight for the rights of people...

because he is evil and has no value of life or for life. Because he doesn't fear others or the sanctity of life- he will kill again.
