Leave him a note...
Tell him you dont want to talk about it....
But you need money to go buy some pads
Do you have an Aunt or female adult friends that can buy some pads for you??

Make it a joke. Dads know about these things and odds r he wont ask to many questions because he will be embarrased and he doesnt want u to b embarrased. So just say Dad will u drive me to the store so I can go in and buy some pads. That way he will hopefully get the idea that u have this under control and just need someone to drive u there and loan u some cash while he waits in the car for u to come back

Hi there. I was in the same situation when I was a teenager. I lived with my Dad and I was SO embarrassed to tell him. Anyway, I just told him that I needed to go to the store for some personal stuff for women and he got the idea. I know it's embarrassing, but your Dad is a grown man and he knows what goes on with women's bodies. Take care sweetie!

you should tell a auntie or a female family member an tell them all about you having your period they can give you all the info ro if yo feel comfortable you can tell a lady teacher or friend who you trust or you can just suck it up and tell you dad i have woman things i need to buy at the store(pads, tampons)
but i think your dad might get the hint but like im gonna say you will have to turn to you dad about alot of things

WOW! Same happened to me! I live with my dad during the summer and that's when it happened! I just told him it wasn't that big of a deal! I'm sure your dad will understand! He called my mom and asked her "WHAT THE HELL DO I DO, WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO BUY"! It was pretty darned Hilarius! Luckily my dad had friend with a wife named Ramy! She totally helped! I think your dad will understand! The worst part was the safe sex talk we had! A little embarrassing!LOL!

This happened to me!! My mom was deceased I didn't want to tell my dad so I called my grandmother. If your mother is around ask her to tell him. After a while it will be no big deal. Your dad knows about periods. It is just a fact of life everyone young women goes through each month. NO BIG DEAL!!

Do you get an allowance if so buy your own hygiene products. If not ----My vote goes for writing him a note and giving it to him as quickly as possible. Tell him you need an allowance to buy necessary female personal items, that you are old enough to handle money and have some personal needs. there is no need to tell him you started your period. He isn't stupid. He will be able to figure it out without embarrassing yourself.

Do you have a female mentor? You could talk to them about it.
It will be a little awkward but he knows girls menstruate. Just mention you are starting your "female thing" and go from there.

You just have to tell him straight out, because he is going to have to buy tampons, pads, etc. Or give you money for them. Im sure he relizes that you are growing up, and wont be surprised by it.
