and are trying to act more mature than they really are. I have younger siblings in this category that know stuff that i didn't find out to later on. they try to act more mature and by the time they are seven all they can think about is who they are in love with, who they want to kiss and by the time they are ten they are wondering who they are going to do it with. my sister when she was in sixth grade had a classmate that was having her SECOND baby. i was amazed and the gurl acted all proud of it. TV doesn't help these days and kids are glued to it and are shown it everyday from commercials to tv shows. What is it going to take to get our kids to be kids again? i fear to have kids because when i do they will be even worse.
These are little kids who shouldn't even be thinking of things like that much less know. They need to be kids NOT mini adults with intamacy problems.

yes it is the parents fault but only half...if you try to raise your child right think about their influences around them....those kids will be doing it all and your kid sees and reacts to it so you can't get them away from it unless you lock them away in a tower like rapunzel. I am only in early twenties but this does worry me...something needs to be done because it is already out of hand

i think i should be answering your question since im 16
its hard to ignore what is around us. think about it my guy friends had their first porn when they were 9! i can surely say that our parents do their best in preventing us from these "bad things" but its hard to ignore it since its all over the place! pre-marital sex seems to be normal to us because in TV shows they "tell" us that this is what other kids do and its perfectly normal! we try to act mature because we are expected to be.
i hate the fact that as tiime passes we tend to forget the value of things in life
i strongly agree

Because they do not get enough attention at home and are searching for it elsewhere. Todays parents don't seem to pay enough attention to what these kids are wearing, who they are hanging out with and what they are doing online. It really is a sad situation. Don't even get me started on the media.

The responsibility falls on the kids' parents. As much as people blame the media and etc, the parents are more responsible than anyone else.

but they WANT to be. they want to be mature and old enough to handle all the "good stuff" in life. middle school is a trying time for kids, especially the girls, who can be really nasty to each other. they are just trying to be something they're not and its kinda sad.

It's just all part of the downward spiral of American and Western Culture in general that glorifies decadence and hedonism.

blame it on the adults
whatever they do children mimick
so if a wife and husband make out and hug infront of children they will try it and it will get more intense when they grow older
