Technically, Kirk Hammet is far beyond the others, but for feeling & blow your mind skills I gotta go with Hendrix.
Cobain's not really known for his guitar playing & shouldn't be on this list.

If you are looking for a learning curve start with Jeff Beck. Then move on to Kirk Hammet then Hendrix. When you have those under control move on to Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

Hendrix and Hammett wail. Eddie Van Halen and Dave Mustaine should be added to this list. Not many people know Mustaine because Megadeth is too heavy for their tastes, but he can own a guitar.

i think of that is humorous to work out those video's... what's funnier, is whilst human beings such as you get so bent out of shape, that they could vent approximately it. I really don't think you can have a definate BEST GUITARIST.
they all play different styles and it just depends on different opinions of different people.
I really love Jimi, and he is my favorite out of the list,
but he is not the best. it's impossible to tell who's the best.
keep going with guitar though, I've played for about five years and I love it.

From your list, I would say BB King, but I prefer Eric Clapton myself. Eddie Van Halen is up there, too!
