I don't think it would be "better", but I also do not believe that it would be "worse".
A lot of us would be more active, not addicted to games and IMs, and we wouldn't be using so much energy. We lived without computers once, before the 70's and we were fine. Instead of writing an email, we'd send a letter of talk on the phone. I like letters better anyway, but i'm too busy to write them since i'm writing an email and your answer =P. More people would need to read the newspaper and watch the news, which could cause more false stories yellow-writing in order to sell their papers. More books (which last almost forever) would be written and sold to take the place of Wikipedia (which can easly be deleted in a few minutes). We wouldn't have so amny perverts because the only porn they would have access to is PlayBoy magazine and 'home-made' porn. Since it's illegal to mail porn, there would be more pervs in jail and less on the streets. children wouldn't get into such big messes like 'cyber-bullying', and becoming 'internet friends' with a 40-year-old man disguised as a 12-year-old girl. A lot of things would be nice, but also of things we'd also be lacking.
I do not believe that i would be good or bad if we lost the internet. It would simply be different.

For better or for worse??? I would say a whole lot worse (just my opinion) because then it would be horrible not to come on Yahoo Answers and answer other peoples' questions. Also, I wouldn't have email, so I'd have to get on the phone everytime I wanted to talk to someone. It would drive me crazy. But I think, because of the internet, that the world would also be a whole lot better if they didn't create the internet. I mean, there would be no internet predators wandering around myspace and invading teenagers' homes and privacy, fake identifiers that disguise themselves as a higher authority, or etc. There are so many people that take advantage of the internet as a way to connect to other peoples' lives and destroy them. I am on both sides of this question, but great question to ask though :)

In a way it would be better, some people die due to connections through the internet. Young girls meet strange people on the internet and meet them and get murdered. Also people would be more protected, and life would be a little more private.
On the other hand, life would be boring without the internet, no MSN, no myspace and most importantly, no Y! answers!!

Sometimes i think it would be a safer world without has you say no perverts chatting to kids online etc. But the Internet also helps to communicate with people from all over the world. it's also entertainment.

It would probably be harder but better... what was it like in the 70's and 80's when there was no Internet? People were reading more, out side more, etc...
