Start, control panel, sounds speech, and audio devices, sounds and audio devices, then click audio on the top tab. Follow instructions, if its plugged in properley then the little lights or bars will move and you will hear your voice. I think its on a seven second delay time. Start, control panel, sounds speech, and audio devices, sounds and audio devices, then click audio on the top tab. then click on start and then allprogrmas; acessories; enterntainment and then click on sound recording and check if it works or not.........make sure that under the volume icon properties the micorophone is not set to mute
