Well , that's what Hugo Chavez did this week . He threatened to fire all government employees who did NOT participate in counter-protests in Venezuela . He bussed them in from all over the country , gave them $25 - free lunch - and a free red hat and red t-shirt !!

Why do I even have to ask this question ? Because incredibly there are still folks who support this guy in our own free democracy .

How can you live in a democratic country , enjoying the benifits of that country including free speech. . . . . .and then support someone who believes the opposite ? How is that even possible , let alone even sane ?

I would say, immediate removal from office by the quickest means possible, I know of another country that has paid people to protest, sadly Japan, when ever a nuclear powered ship comes into port, and yes I know where it comes from, but it's bogus when you have to pay the protesters. Then they {protesters] would come in the bars and have a drink with you..............

His support here is because he is Anti-American and the US citizens who support him, produce TV ads for him, invite him here try to use this as an example of the hatred for us. To be liked by Castro, Chavez, Kim we would have to be a socialist nation who has no problem with terrorists killing people around the world but especially in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

I know this may come as a surprise to some but every country on this planet have rules and laws. Some like the USA are more liberal than others, but make no mistake about it, some of our laws and policies need to be changed. Our government happens to oppose Chavez, mainly because Chavez doesn't like Bush or so we are told. We promote free speech and democracy but it was not too long ago that our governments supported, the Shah of Iran, The infamous Saddam Hussien, Batista in Cuba, Norieaga of Panama etc etc.

Chavez is setting himself up to be a dictator. If the people down there don't do something to stop him, it will soon be too late. Their excuse will be- - - he was too strong, we couldn't do anything. It happens every time. The people back some loud-mouth who promises a lot, then complain because the army is behind him.
