Just go to the teachers in any of the classes you are in together and make them aware of it.
Then yeah, knowing me, I'd probably say something like
"you guys need to lay off" or something like "by picking on this kid, you are just showing your own immaturities or insecurities" that would suck and I feel bad for people like that.
It really screws up there self esteem.
This ones a toughie, good luck.

Stand up for him. This will show him that he is not alone he may be smaller or weak than these bozo's and they get there kicks from it. Just let them know that what they are doing is wrong. Just the other day there was a 90 year old man beating and people just stood around watching this attach We all need to stand up for what we beleive is wrong the world would be a better place. Do what you know is right and I hope that other kids learn from your example. GOOD LUCK

If you go to his rescue and yell at these guys things may just get worse for this kid. If you really want to help him give him a leg up. Hang out with him a little, invite him to a party. I know that probably wasn't what you had in mind but if these nasty guys see you being cool with him they might be a little cooler to him. It's one thing to pick on a kid, it's a whole different story to mess with somebody's friend.

Oh my goodness, STAND UP FOR HIM! The poor kid sounds depressed and defeated! It wouldn't surprise me if he is suicidal.... he's given up!!

You may make a new friend out of this......

If you're worried that standing up for him drags you into the "victim net" of these jerks and they start picking on YOU as well.... go to an adult and say something. Bullying is not tolerated anymore and it's a form of assault.

Best of luck to you.... and I hope it all works out!

Yes always stand up for anyone that gets picked on. It is the one thing that you can always be proud of.
Don't do that poor matt thing though.

Make fun of them because they have to pick on someone smaller. Say "Oh big man!" pick on someone little. What a coward!
Ask, did your mommy not love you enough that you have to pick on little boys to feel like a big man?
Only coward pick on little people. Go pick on someone big and lets see what kind of man you are.

There is such a thing as a school law against bullying in place now in most schools. If you go to the school counselor or principal with the problem and tell what you witnessed, this should all stop within days.

You could start by befriending him and including him with things you and your friends do. Most schools are supposed to have a zero tolerance policy. Does yours? Maybe you could go to a trusted teacher you have or annoymously tell a teacher and or principal at your school about the situation.
If you choose to stand up against these bullies and say something to them...don't fight fire with fire. Instead use responsible and mature things to say to them otherwise you sound no better then them.

do what you think is right.
I think I would stand up for him, because this kid is doing nothing wrong and is getting picked on for no reason. Thats not fair.
Think about if you were the kid, would you want someone to stand up for you?

help him out- its what i'd do, or what i like to think i would anyway- after all, theres that saying, something like, if you watch bullying but dont help stop it, you are the bully......not that im saying ur a bully or anything.... but they just need to realise that there are people out there that will stand up for matt and they'll leave him alone eventually
