khaki colored fabrics? I spilled something on my BRAND NEW brand new pair of khaki colored cotton pants. I treated it with Spray N Wash, which I've being using forever. I THOUGHT it was a trusted product. I also spilled the same greasy food product on a navy blue cotton shirt & used Spray N Wash on that garment as well. I washed both items. The shirt looks like brand new, no stain. The pants, look like I used chlorine bleach to treat the stain! There is a huge discolored round spot where I treated it.

After a very mad email to Spray N Wash, the response I got from them, 4 days later was..."So sorry you had a bad experience. All of our products say not to use on khaki fabrics. We're sending you some coupons, Sorry."

Sorry so long but I am MAD. Do I have a right to be? Was I supposed to read the label of a product that I've been using forever, just to see if they changed any of the rules? Yes, I'm mad because these $40 pants are now trash. I am not rich. Next time I will SHOUT it out!

My guess is it was both the dye in the pants and the spray n wash. I have used the stick for years, on everything will no problems.

You may want to reconsider where you purchased the pants. These cheaper clothes now available everywhere simply aren't made to last long.

But I would be frustrated too. Lesson for us all I guess...

Did you go back and read the label to see if it does say not to use on khaki? I use it on khaki all the time, as that is all my husband wears, and have never had a problem.

Don't blame the Spray & wash Company for your negligence.

They put the warnings on the label so you will read them.
They probably say not to take it internally aqs well, so remember that one too.

Meantime Take your pants and figure a decorative pattern, and put Spray and wash wherever it will form a pleasing pattern, and make a unique pair of pants...If not, soak it in spray and wash and make it all the bleached out color...and dye it another color if you don't like this.

Thanks for the warning. I just wonder what is in it that will fade khaki but doesn't navy. Oh, well, at least you saved me a pair of pants. Sorry about yours.

Thanks for the tip. I have a bottle of Spray N' Wash and I wear khaki often, but you better check that SHOUT bottle as well.
