When I was a toddler it was Saucepans and a wooden spoon. Then roller skates.

I had a doll from when I was about two until I was about six. I loved that doll so much, even though when I was about 4, I wrote a price on her forehead in marker (she was an item in my 'shop'!), and it never came off. Another time I tried to give her a haircut, with less than glamorous results!
My mom knitted her a yellow dress and cape with gold braid for Christmas one year - which must have taken her WEEKS to do, I still remember it so vividly, and I'm 43 now! I remember the braid was about a half inch wide and had sequins and gold shiny thread, and was at the neck, waist and hem of the dress and all along the edge of the cloak and hood.
I don't know what happened to the doll, I can't think how it came to be missing, but I still think of it every Christmas as I'm secretly getting my own kids' presents ready, and remember my mom's superb efforts!

I didn't have many toys as a child. My dad bought me glow in the dark legos. I got a stuffed rabbit for my 4th birthday I still have. He's going on 28.

My favourite was my roller skates. They were the metal sort that you strapped on to your feet over your ordinary shoes. I practically lived on them!! I loved hurtling down very busy hills (towards main roads) - I had no fear! Only now, as an adult, do I realise how daft I was.

I loved almost any kind of toy dog. I had these two stuffed dogs that sort of looked alike, so I called them twins- Chips and Taffy.
