I don't have the CDRom for the wireless adapter...but my computer still has the program on there...it just needs to be enabled. Its a Linksys Wireless Adapter.

Well, I guess I should have said..that when I bring up the Linksys monitor window...that it says it has no association with acess point. Says the adapter is inactive. And when I hover over the icon in my tray it says "disabled". I'm trying to figure out how to enable it again. And I have no earthly idea.

It's probably not a router problem, I would guess that Windows isn't looking at the RJ45 port for an internet connection. Try this. Click Start/Control Panel/Internet Options. In the Internet Options dialog window, click the "Connections" tab, and then click "Setup". Now:
Welcome to the New Connection Wizzard, click "Next".
Choose: Connect to the Internet, click "Next"
Choose: Set up my connection manually, click "Next".
Choose: Connect using a broadband connection that is alway on, click "Next".
Click "Finish"

That should do it.

You may need to re-install the drivers for the card. You can use a cabled connection to download it from the manufacturer's site. Try first going to the network connections, right click the wireless and it may say enable as the first option. Click this.

Right click on the icon and click enable. If that does not work try Start, Control Panel and double click Network Connections. Then Right click on Local Area Connection and click on Enable.
