Encourage her, with my nephew we made it a game. We would take a toy and sit a few inches away from him...he would try very hard to get to the toy...of course do not sit to far away when they are first learning the baby will become frustrated if she can not get to you. Good luck.

not really! she will get it on her own. you could try rolling up a towel and placing it under her shoulders when she is lying on her belly. this will prop her up a little. she really will figure it out on her own and there's really no need to "help." it usually doesn't take long once she has the desire and is given the opportunity. let her be on her belly but don't let her stay frustrated for toolong. let her take a break and sit and do other things for a while if she's has enough trying and needs to give herself a break. her brain needs to process the learning as well as her body needing the "practice." be patient and she will get it! be sure to child proof the house becasue once she can move there's no turning back or away!!!

get down on the floor and play with her. babies learn through immitation, so, crawl around with her.... but remember, some kids never crawl. my daughter never did and she walked really early, my son however crawled for months and was so comfortable getting around like that that he waited a long time to try to walk...

what i did with my son was i got on my needs and tried to get him to follow me. or crawl and show him how to do it. or i just praised him everytime he tried. and he only crawled for a short time by the time he was 8 1/2 months he was walking and now he likes to run and race me across the room:P lol fun times. i know my family first nurse says to take it step by step

1) when she is trying to call talk to her and tell her what she is going...ex" aww are you trying to crawl? what a good girl"

2)show her how its done...they lead by example.

3)let her try...and even if she doesnt exactly get it praise her. they will love it and try to do it even more.

Just watch her and make sure there's nothing dangerous. Also, you could get her a stroller or shopping cart for little kids when she learns to walk. Good luck!

put her on her tummy on the floor. she will do it when her body is ready dont try to rush her you could do serious damage to her legs i see these poor little kids walking with their legs bowed out because parents forced them to walk before the bones were strong enough let her do it in her own time

Not really. My one son never did. He learned it was easier to roll to his target destination. Less effort and no sore knees.

The process of learning how to develop movement skills is as important as the skill itself. She will get there....dont worry.

no, just encourage floor time on her tummy, she will eventually get the hang of it, she will do it in her own time
