I absolutely HATE letting people down, but sometimes no matter what you choose to do you will be letting someone down.

Letting people down is never easy. But there are times when you just have to do it. My family, friends and clients are used to me saying yes all the time, and there are times when I say no and they act like it's the end of the world. I used to be so worried about so I tried hard to make sure I said yes all the time. I never had time for myself and was always stressed out. Now, I make it a point to say no even if I can do what they from me. That way they are sort of used to the let down, and if also doesn't make me feel so bad any more.

Yes-and for myself, I know that it has something to do wiht the fac that my mother was extremely narcissistic and letting her down meant losing her affection and love.
That has played into my life to where I can barely say no to anything because I don't want that person to be dissapointed or upset with my actions. But you have to make sure that you do stick up for yourself, although if you already have a problem with it, it's going to be harder for you than for someone else.
