The 2 recent terror plots that were broken up?

I can't tell you how many times I've heard some con say "we're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here".

But yet, plots to attack the US on our own soil continue to happen.

I've been told time and time again that the war in Iraq is making our country safe. But clearly it is not.

Please keep that rhetoric to yourselves cause nobody is buying that gigantic load of bullshit anymore.

I would give you a longer answer, but I'm currently sitting anxiously in my basement, clutching my BB rifle, wearing my tin-foil helmet and waiting for those communists to invade that we were warned would attack us if our military left Vietnam.

Fighting them over there is better than fighting them here. I think its very important that the government make a few arrests here in order to keep us on the defensive and continue the funding for Iraq and Afghanistan. Since 911 how many people were arrested and convicted of terrorism in North America. The latest terrorists were planning to blow up JFK airport fuel tanks. I sure am going to sleep much better tonite knowing that these terrorists were caught.LOL

This was just propaganda perpetuated by the Republican war machine to justify the war in Iraq after America finally realized Bush lied about the WMDs. It was also to instill fear in the American people to bolster support for the War on Terror.

There would be many more attacks here if we weren't fighting them over there. The fact that we have been able to thwart the domestic attacks doesn't mean that many more don't want to try the same thing if they weren't otherwise occupied in Iraq.

In these days of popular media, even the government is using it. Just like advertisements, and like i say to my kids, don't believe everything you see on tv. Nowadays all popula r issues are twisted and molded to suit a political mandate.
the sad part of the matter is that half the population is still naive enough to buy this crap.

Ok Joshie, here's how it is..There are bad people all over the world who want to harm the US,ok? Just be thankful the Bush Administration has a great homeland security plan in place to protect us, unlike Bill Clinton who's plan led to 9-11 in the first place..

The government doesn't care one bit about terrorism - or else they would not have left our borders wide open for this long. It really makes no sense to go over there and fight and then leave our borders open.

there are militias in the states that concern us, you know the Timothy Mc Veigh types and the ability to torture the captives to dig out information is a help to catching the [lots that do make it here. You are not one hundred percent safe but you are able to see work to make our lives safer.

George Bush says we need to fight them over there so that we don't have to fight them over here. I say because we are over there, we will end up fighting them over here

There would have been many more 9/11 like incidents if they were not being fought there. Lets encourage our leaders and the military for the good job they are doing to keep us safe.
