a girl thats kind of girly, but not like i care if i break a nail or anything, and messing up my hair is find, but no "out-in-the-sun-for-2-hours." kind of jobs, and a lemonade stand is out of the options!! thankyou!

The only way I could earn money as a 12 year old were through babysitting, paper route, or helping a friend on his farm.

If you want you could also ask your neighbors if they would pay you to mow their yard ($20-$30 a yard depending on size).

Officially, you can't work until you are 14, and then it is only for 4 hours. But, there are exceptions for 12 year old, especially since MOM wants you get a summer job. Babysitting, maybe.

Why do your mother think you should working for the summer at twelve? It's one things to grow up having responsible but that's stretching it a little, don't you think? In house is great but going out in the workplace is a different thing.
