i work on triplex pump which it take the moving from detroite engine.... during the pumping ...is it important to reach to the lock up converter lamp to turn on? and why?give me details plz

and if u want to run the engine at low throttle to get low rate ...so it iwill be impossible to get the lockup at low throttle ?right and how i can come over this problem?

So you don't burn up the torque converter from slipping constantly.
That's why it needs to "lock up". So it doesnt slip.
