there's not much i really don't agree with that my parents say, but i guess that being of a different generation i see some things differently (e.g. what constitutes a sl*t). however, a few old people i know have views that i disagree with on people of different races.

Atheists don't believe in any gods. Are you thinking that a belief in god stops learning about science? Clearly you have issues with making sense, punctuation or actually asking a coherent question but I will have a shot at what I think you are asking But if there are areas where science is still working and we don't currently know does not get to god did it. Until a god has been shown to exist it cannot be said to be the cause of anything. Nonexistent things can't cause existent things to be. And for existence, for something to be called existent it has to manifest itself in some real demonstrable way otherwise it can not be said to exist. No science test have ever shown a god and if it can't be tested it can't be said to exist therefore cannot be said to cause or do anything, its not logically possible.

There have been a lot of things I've done differently than my parents. As a parent myself, at 40, my parents let me do things that I would never dream of letting my kids do. For instance, They didn't care that I partied even though I was underage. Just don't get caught. NO WAY would I let my kids do that. When I was 18 I did get caught and learned a valuable lesson. Thank God for that. Even though is was something terrible, it turned out to be a postive. My father realized he was an alcoholic and quit drinking.

Another, my mother was very abusive and we had no relationship and even though I love her it's hard to trust her. My kids have great trust in me. I love having the good relationship I have with my kids.

Good question!!

That's a loaded question... I've disagreed with my parents so often, we wonder if something's wrong if I don't! (Although my dad has been dead for 20 years now.) Now that I'm older, though, I'm beginning to see the sense in what they said and did. I used to disagree with them about school; now I wish I did better. Of course, I'm still not convinced about some of the things they said were impossible, but I've been wrong before.

I seem to disagree with my parents and grandparents about nearly everything. I have different social beliefs than my parents and grandparents. My grandmother was racist and my mother seems to be also. I'm of a different religion than my parents and grandparents. Politically I am different than everyone in my father's family and several in my mothers.

My mom didn't like stupid people. She actively discriminated against anyone whose IQ was too low for her tastes.

My mom hated to repeat herself. She'd tell you once, so you better listen closely ALL the time, or you'd be in trouble for doing something/not doing something.

My mom would step on your toe if you stepped on hers; she didn't accept apologies as a general rule. This extended to even biting her grandchildren if they bit her.

Other than those few little things, my mom was a wonderful person and I agreed with almost everything else she said.

My dad, I agreed with everything he said and thought and did, he was marvelous.

Yes, unfortunately...my parents were abusive in many ways, and taught me how "not" to be as a parent. There are some people out there that are in need of parenting classes.

Racism is the big one. Both my grandparents and parents were/are very racist people. I would have been like them if I hadn't had met someone who became a very dear friend of mine and knowing her, I became a better person.
