Husband of 18 yrs quit job and moved away while I was on a business trip. Thought we had a perfect marriage, never any signs of unhappness. He says he'll never marry again. I think he got involved in an internet relationship. I am in limbo not knowing what to do.

You should find out what exactly is going on with him. You should offer him to a chance to come back, explain himself, and find out if he's willing to get help. Look into getting therapy for both of you and separately.

If he is willing to try, then give him a chance. If he is not, then end it and move on with your life.

Sorry this happened. Good luck!

Get all your paperwork done so you are protected...bank accounts.. move them to another bank...insurance etc, and don't tell him a thing that is going on with you....
besides the fact he left he has no right to know what you are doing....
men who do this have been up to weird things for along time before they act on them..... maybe it is a mid life crisis or some other male thing... but the important thing is to keep yourself safe and not get ripped off
and once he has been out tomcatting around and decides he has had enough... try not to let him back in your life.. he will do it again when the situation presents itself

You did not mention any children.
I f you and he have children, do every thing you can to keep their family intact.
No children- then hire a good lawyer and a good private detective and get the info to get your best settlement out of a divorce.
But first!- go to the doctor as soon as possible and get a full screening of STD tests. If hubby has been cheating then your health is at risk.

You must be so devastated, my heart goes out to you...always the last to know. Un fortunately these decisions are never easy to make. My first reaction would be "ya, leave the f*&^%%&..." But experience has taught me to look at the context of the situation and that only you alone can decide what to do. Dig deep and listen to yourself, you already have the answer !!! Do what you have to do.

If after 18 years of marriage and a spouse to do this? there is no question about it. Get a divorce and find someone who wants to be with you.

Sounds like he already divorced you just without the paperwork. Yes put in the papers and go on with your life. Make sure NOT to give him any quarter in the divorce. He left you... remember that.

Well, I think that you really should consider his actions...he was thoughtless and cared nothing about your feelings when he packed up and left you with no warning.

I know they say that you marry for better or for worse...ok, this is the worse part of it...if he has not called, or has not come home to reconcile....definitely start divorce procedures...

So sorry

Sounds like the two of you need to discuss the relationship more. He needs to tell you exactly why this happened.
