Spurs in six. No one is going to be able to guard Duncan and even on the good day when he gets into foul trouble. Oberto and Elson are capable of defending and rebounding on Illgauskas. The Cavs have no one who can either guard Manu Ginobli or consistently display offense like he does. Parker is just going to keep going to hoop and that will get Gooden and Varejao into foul trouble quickly. Other than Gibson in the Conference Finals, the Cavalier's other four starters nor their bench have been real consistent in providing King James with backup. Bowen will have some trouble guarding LaBron James, but the pressure will be less on Bowen being that he really only has to defend and not do both as James will have to do. Finally there's no way the Spurs are going to do anything close to what the Pistons did in game 6. There's no way they're going to double down on LaBron to the point where it leaves two other people wide open. You're literally giving players like Gibson 30 points a night when you do that. Good defensive coach know they won't be able to shut down a player like LaBron for a whole series, you just do your best to contain him and shut down everyone else and Popovich is a good defensive coach. MVP: Tony Parker. To be honest I thought Ginobli should have won it when the Spurs beat Detroit in 05. Parker's toughness and relentless drives to the hole will be key to everything else falling in place for the Spurs

This will be my answer for the 'who will win' questions for today:

I know that the San Antonio Spurs will win. Detroit was not playing good defense. The Spurs are the best defensive team in the league, they are even more defensive during the playoffs, and especially in the NBA Finals. There is no way that the Cavs can even think of winning a Finals series against the a defensive team such as the SA Spurs. The Cavs also lack experience, which is another key weapon the Spurs have. The Spurs have WAY too many weapons against the Lebron and his Cavs. The Spurs have home court advantage, they are the best defensive team in the league, and have the experience that the Cavs lack. The Spurs also have Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry, Fabricio Oberto , Michael Finley, ect.. The Cavs just have Lebron, and he is not enough. . The only championship that the Cavs will get this year is the East C. Championship, Spurs in 5. The Cavs won't even know what hit them. Duncan as the MVP.

Who will win the NBA Finals? This answer is going to based on 4 things:
A) Starters - The Spurs win this category. Tony parker and Larry Hughes will be a close matchup, but in the end Parker's explosiveness will just be too much. Ginobli will man handle Pavlovic, taking him inside, drawing fouls, and hitting the outside shots. Lebron James, will have a hard time with Bowen and his superior defense, but eventually James will come out on top. Drew Gooden vs. Tim Duncan?? eh, yeah. Duncan gonna drop 30 on him and that can't be stopped. ILguaskas vs. Oberto is going to really close and exciting. Oberto has explosiveness and can move around really well. Zeeke can pull back and take the shot though. This one is going to be a deadlock.
B) Bench Play and Versatility - Brent Barry, Michael Finley, and Robert Horry vs. Varejao, Donelle Marshall and Daniel Gibson. Ofcourse, Spurs have the better bench, and fresh legs can determine a game.
C) Experience - Spurs have much more playoff experience, but they have lost to the Cavilier both times this season. Spurs also win this.
D) Momentum - Cavaliers are coming into this game with confidence and momentum. If they can use this to their advantage, this series will be interesting.

I think that Spurs will win in 6 games, and MVP will be Duncan, because he provides fire every game.

The Spurs! Come on, the Spurs are the better team. The Spurs have Duncan, Giniboli, Parker, Horry, Finley, and Uberto. All are great players. Parker, Duncan, and Giniobli are the main players to the team, compared to the Cav's one!Not to mention the fact that the Spurs teams' role players have experience as well! Horry has won six rings! The Spurs play better as a team and are on a great roll if you will. The Spurs win in seven. MVP Duncan, if the Spurs win, it will be because of his great leadership and awesome scoring ability. Spurs are not overrated, in fact they are underated!

OK, I admit I was impressed how the Cavs handled the Pistons.
The Spurs aren't the Pistons. They have better team defense and a deeper bench.
I'll take the Spurs in 6 games with Tim Duncan as the MVP. They have no answer for him. Illgaskus, Gooden, give me a break.

cavs win. they have the momentum and they want it more than the spurs. san antonio does have experience but i think they do not have the hunger that the cavs have. Too much rest could be a bad thing (just look at the osu vs. florida football game) and that could affect the spurs. The cavs won both games against the spurs this year because they have a better matchup. Lastly, the cavs have the best player in the NBA in LEBRON JAMES!!!!!! (he wins the mvp without a doubt) gotta go with the cavs.

I think the Spurs will win, thanks to their finals experience and Tim Duncan, who I don't think the Cavs can match up with. I figure Duncan will also be MVP, but if the Cavs sell out to cover him I could see Ginobili being the go-to guy and taking the award.

Spurs in 5 the pistons cavs series was nothing more than who would be the sacrificial Lamb.

i will give the cavs credit they are better on D than i thought but the Spurs are better than Detroit on the d themselves and much more consistent on the offensive side sorry cavs your win over Detroit was nice but the spurs are a much better team

San Antonio Spurs, they have the Big 3 while Cavs only have the Big 1. MVP will be Tony Parker, Duncan's a little cheater (uses the backboard what a loser)
