I have just finished one - called "Wisdom Hunter", dont know by who! An excellent Christian book.

I can also recommend the "Left Behind" series, which is phenominal and based on biblical fact.

The book that I like the best is "Typee".by Melville, and its companion, "Omoo." Also, the "Flying Boat: by Alllan Sillitoe is a great fiction adventure story--it is hard to put down.

If you want a non-fiction adventure book, read "In Trouble Again" by ------um, anyway, it's about a professor who bumbles his way in the rainforest of the Amazon. It is hilarious--he never hesitates to make fun of himself. His books about traveling in the Congo and Borneo (I think it was Borneo) are in the same vein.

Lord of the Rings. I've read the trilogy 3 times, the first being in 1972 when I was 10 yrs old. I've read it/them two more times since. Don't forget to start with The Hobbit. It's the key to enjoying the other three to the utmost.
