I believe the Cubs will be buyers if they come to believe one or two players can help them win the division. I don't believe they can get in as a wild card but they do have a shot at winning the weaker division they are in.

a little of both, they need to try and unload some of there over paid baggage and sign some young arms that are fresh and can help them thru the dog days of august and september. i personally suggest that they look at one young starter and some journey man long reliever where neither have to many innings on there arms come those dog days.
P.S. do something quick before Pinnella bursts a blood artery .

young pictching and the yankees
have a lot of young picthing
