The appaisal is rquired for auction through Sotheby or Christie. So far I am unable to find any certified appraiser in Malaysia. The wooden carving originated from China and is six feet in height. It is a family heirloom for many generations and is still in excellent condition. Only a pair of the carvings were originally made. I have been trying to trace the other one unsuccessfully for years. Most probably it is either still in China when the properties were didvided among the two brothers or destroyed during the Chinese cultural revolution many years ago.
