S How can you get red winged blackbirds out of the house?
we recently moved into an older home...there is a small vent hole on the side of the house and the cover feel off...some black birds have nested in there and have babies...eggs hatched 4 days ago...how can we get them out without hurting them? or paying a fortune to have them removed...they are very loud and keep our children up all night long!!!

Red-Winged Blackbirds incubate their eggs in 11-12 days and then the young stay in the nest from 10-14 days.

You should only have a few more days to go, so I would encourage you to let them be. There is no way to move the nest without disturbing the birds and possibly killing them. Wait until all of the babies have fledged and are out of the nest and then remove the nest and replace the cover.

If you can get to the area, then scare the birds out, when the new hatchlings can fly. Afterward seal up the hole, so that they can not return.
