O'Donnell was on The View after Meredith Vieira left to take Katie Couric's place on that morning show. Katie got the evening news gig, which allowed Vieira to take her morning slot, and O'Donnell was tapped for Vieira's old job...so I blame all of it on Catie Couric! *LOL*

On The View, Rosie spent 10 months being a rude, loudmouth. She's an interrupting bully instead of a "moderator." She routinely belittled guests and cast mates alike. She recently had a full scale meltdown on The View and said she wanted out of her contract early. Thankfully ABC let her out of her contract.

My personal pet peeve: Rosie believes that the U.S. government was behind the 9/11 attacks. That was the final straw for me. I lost friends in New York when the twin towers came down, and 2 more friends that didn't die that day eventually killed themselves because of their survivor guilt. To blame our own government for that is the last straw for me. Lots of people just love her to death. I'm not one of them.

P.S. She took 10 months to totally lose it on the air, so it was a long slow process but it was evident she was losing it. There is video of her meltdown from her last day on The View. (It's the split screen, the 4th one from the top.) Here they are:
