It also does this with my usb drive. How can i stop it doing this?

I am tryping the command correctly E.g Cd 'D:\files'

Its ok now i changed the synax a little bit

'cd d:\' is now 'cd /d d:/files'

The cd command is change directory and you ain't changing directory.

all you need to do is type the drive letter followed by a colon : and then enter, then you can use the cd command to change directorys within that drive

so it is just d: and then enter

What's the problem? What're you trying to accomplish? All you gotta do is access them from Windows Explorer.

if you wanna go to D: just type D: no need to type cd.
