What would you do if you had million dollars?

Invest it in index mutual funds.

50% in bonds, 45% in stocks and 5% in cash. This will give $40,000 income (pay tax of course) from the $1Mill while it is also appreciating in value. I am all set for the rest of my life (at least for the next 40 years) with this type of income.

I will put my feet up, enjoy a drink by the pool side, read a book, volunteer for charity work, be active in the community, travel to new places, go back to school to learn new things, continue my education in many many areas that always interested me.

I will NOT go into business. Because I will be content with the income this money gives.

I will ask the manager to notify about the total huge deposit to Mr Chidambaram.
