Safe mode is not 100% fool proof. (don't randomly delete files & you should be ok)
Safe mode is used for trouble shooting purposes.
There's really not a reason to use it in everyday, general computing.

Starting the PC in safe mode limits the functionality because not all services and components are loaded. It is meant to be used to diagnose problems, and while it won't harm anything if you do start it in safe mode, you won't be able to do much.

You won't do any harm, but some of your hardware may not work. Because "Safe Mode" is a diagnostic tool, only the basic drivers that are needed to run your machine are loaded.

usually, safemode is used for diagnose purposes. How??
answer is in safe mode some services wont work.
now u would ask which services??
answer is: go to run , Type "msconfig" then look for services and startup tab. they dont work in safe mode.
why bill gates thought to make a safe mode??
to diagnose your computer. sometime virus attack on your computer. now it continue to affect your computer because it has installed as services and everytime when u restart the virus will start as service and disturb your computing experience.
So u can go in safe mode. look for those program that harm
and restore your computer.
safe mode does not harm. i hope that would solve your problem ..

Won't do any harm, but functionality will be severely limited. It's meant to be a diagnostic/troubleshooting mode, where only the bare minimum necessary to run the PC is activated.

no harm done....safe mode will load only what drivers are needed to run windows.....cd/dvd drives will not work, network cards won't work and you will be stuck with a generic video driver that only allows 800x600 resolution and it will look ugly. safe mode is usually used as a tool by IT people for purposes of troubleshooting and repairing a damaged operating system. uninstalling drivers and such if they caused problems

What do you think can be any other reason to name it SAFE MODE . Of course it will not hamr
Its advantage is that when you use this mode virus does not spread to other files so you can easily remove it.

No
The advantages if starting in safe mode is that all your programs and drivers wont start up so if theres a virus you can get rid of it more easily.
