I know they won but come on you have to admit that it was a terrible game, they should of at least scored 5-6 goals.
What went wrong?

they were overconfident and too many injuries, and i think the faroe islands had something to prove

I didn't know about yesterday's game, but I read from newspaper it wasn't Italy's expected performance against a semi-pro team. They needed an old fox to score goals and almost lose 2 points. Perhaps it's not about the players, it's about the coach. I don't know whether he is good enough for La Nazionale since he has only a little experience.

Over condfidence more than anything. The injuries and absent players are nothing when playing a team like the Faroe Islands, the Italian U-20 squad should be able to beat them.

Well, they won so technically they didn't do anything wrong. Also they rested half the team. Probably they weren't too worried about the game especially since they lead the entire game and then increased their lead. Oh yeah, they also leap frogged two teams to place themselves in qualifying position. Sounds like they didn't do too much wrong...

Well they thought they could win easily and all of the players were probably tired,you know the season just ended and everything,but I'm 1000000000000000% sure we're gonna play much much muuuuch better at Wednesday!

Overconfidence... that's what was wrong. Italy thought Faroe Islands were just a puny team they could squash. But they didn't count on the fact that underestimating them could revert.

Because of the rain they did everything wrong. They messed up their game.
